Weekly Report 10th August 2026

CUESTA was disappointing on Saturday at Kembla Grange. Well ridden by apprentice, Jett Newman, CUESTA presented at the top of the straight, went to the leader but struggled from thereon, and didn’t finish off like we were expecting. A consistent mare, now 6, she has gone to the paddock with a broodmare career on the horizons.

SMART CRY has come through her Rosehill run well, and has been nominated for Eagle Farm on Saturday, in a Class 3 over 1350m.  Only a small field currently as nominations sit, and if the cut is out of the ground, she will be competitive.

BROADWAY FOLLIES will be nominated for her home track Wyong, tomorrow, for Sunday, in BM 64 Hcp, over 1350m.

A SHARE has become available on our HOME AFFAIRS filly, FOXGLOVE, who is from an International Irish family. She, like most bred to these international broodmares, tend to need a couple of times into the stable before being ready to go to the races. FOXGLOVE has had that, and following this let up, we would expect her to go to the trials and then race, next preparation. Email me if you would like to see details.
