CUESTA was just caught on the line at Kembla on Saturday, in her return to racing this preparation. Well ridden by Olivia Chambers , she was well placed in the run, skipped clear at the 150m mark, only to have her fitness give out with 25m to go, and beaten a short neck, by Bjorn’s other runner in the race, to finish 2nd. RACING - BROADWAY FOLLIES has come through her good first up run, at Gosford, and has been nominated for Thursday, at Wyong. CUESTA has returned in great order, just beaten a neck on her return to racing on Saturday, at Kembla. Bjorn will look to give her an easy week before looking at her next start. CUESTA has been nominated for Kembla Grange on Saturday, in a Class 1 Hcp, over 1200m. A 5yo mare who has had 11 starts, and never finished further back than 5th, she will be competitive, whilst taking benefit from the run. REAL BAKER and BROADWAY FOLLIES both finished 4th in the runs last week, with BROADWAY FOLLIES putting in an eye catcher, in her first run in 12 months. RACING - REAL BAKER found the 1400m, on the Kensington track, a touch too far. Jumping well and going on to lead, he was found wanting the last 50m, to finish 4th. BROADWAY FOLLIES performed very well following a long break from racing, slowly away but got home strongly, at Gosford, last Thursday. Had a big blow post race and will derive much benefit from the run. CUESTA had her second trial last Friday, at Randwick, leading and being run down late over 1050m. ST
