SMART CRY has returned from her Doomben run, in fine fettle, and has been nominated for Friday, at Gosford, and Saturday , at Kembla, stepping up to 1600m. BROADWAY FOLLIES will be nominated to run next week with options at Scone and Wyong, possibilities. REAL MAGICAL is coming to hand nicely for Bjorn and he is looking to give her his normal 2 trials, the first in approx. 3 weeks, followed by one 10-12 days later. All going to plan then off to the races early/ mid October.

RACING - SMART CRY has been nominated for both Friday and Saturday this week, being stepped up in distance to 1600m. BROADWAY FOLLIES will start next week, having been given an easy time of it following her Wyong start. STABLE CHATTER - REAL BAKER is coming to the end of his spell and will commence pre training early next month. Both SMART CRY and BROADWAY FOLLIES had very little go their way at Doomben and Wyong respectively, over the weekend. A wide gate at Doomben saw SMART CRY have to go back to get in, and with the pace of the race favouring the leaders, she was not able to sprint with them when the speed went on. Doing her best work when the race was all over. BROADWAY FOLLIES was well positioned in the run at Wyong, struggled to get around the corner, and took a little time to balance up. H

RACING - BROADWAY FOLLIES was a victim of the track at Wyong in the BM64 over 1350m, and seemed to get her tongue over the bit in the run. Finished just 2.6L from the winner and jockey said on dismounting “will be better on a bigger track”. SMART CRY was unfortunate to draw a tad awkward at Doomben on Saturday, in a Class 3 over 1350m. Forced to go back from the gate, she found the muddling pace up front did not allow her to get into the race, doing her best work late.
