Both SMART CRY and BROADWAY FOLLIES had very little go their way at Doomben and Wyong respectively, over the weekend.
A wide gate at Doomben saw SMART CRY have to go back to get in, and with the pace of the race favouring the leaders, she was not able to sprint with them when the speed went on. Doing her best work when the race was all over. BROADWAY FOLLIES was well positioned in the run at Wyong, struggled to get around the corner, and took a little time to balance up. Held up looking for a run at the top of the straight, the leaders had kicked away, following a few cheap sectionals along the back, and she ended up 2.6 lengths from the winner. Jockey said on dismounting “was not going well enough when we straightened for the run to the judge, held up, and the race was all over”. Will be looking for a bigger track, where she can balance up and then work to the line, for her next run.
Both REAL MAGICAL and LADY SOUSAI have settled in well back with Bjorn, at Warwick Farm, with jump outs mid September on the cards, all going well.
The TRAPEZE ARTIST filly is a feisty individual enjoying her time in the stables. She will be taken through the gates again this week, as her stable education is ramped up.
A 7.5% share, (or part thereof) is available in REAL MAGICAL, now back in with Bjorn, who plans to get her to the trials / races this preparation. Email me if you would like to see details.
Have a good week.
