CUESTA continues to suffer poor barrier draws, with jockey, Ash Morgan doing his best to mitigate the disadvantage, having just failed by a neck, to run down the leader at Gosford, last Friday, over 1600m. Forced to go forward from the outside bar one gate, in the small field with horses pushing up inside her, Ash had no opportunity to slot in mid field. Taking the corner into the straight awkwardly he had to wait until CUESTA balanced up some 25-30m into  the straight, before setting out to bridge the gap, only failing by a neck to catch the leader, and favourite, who enjoyed a dream run, and soft lead. Stable has a number of options going forward for her next run, and has nominated for Canterbury Park on Friday night, and Gosford on Saturday. Also has a few options going into next week, if they decide not to back her up this week.

SMART CRY trialled very nicely for Jason Coyle, at Warwick Farm last Friday, over 800m. Jockey, Jason Collett was happy with the way she ran through the line, commenting post trial – “good trial, will come on from that, gave me a good feel”. Will trial again shortly.

REAL BAKER has returned to Warwick Farm in tip top order, with PICK UP THE TAB the next to come back into Bjorn’s stables, having overcome his latest setback.

Have a good week
