CUESTA, after what looked like a replay of the barrier chaos of last week, got her just rewards for her efforts to date, with a strong win over 1350m, on Saturday, on the Beaumont track, at Newcastle. On being loaded, two horses became fractious in the gates, were backed out, and then scratched, leaving a small field of 5. Jumping from the outside gate, CUESTA was 4 wide early, before Aaron Bullock pushed on to sit outside the leader. On turning for home, Aaron gave her more rein, and she soon put a winning break on them, being eased down at the 75m, to win by a couple of lengths. Aaron was taken with her effort and believes she will get further, and a step up in trip would suit her right down to the ground.

The SNITZEL/SCORE filly is coming to the end of her pre training, and will come into Bjorn’s stables late Dec/early Jan.

PICK UP THE TAB and REAL BAKER are at similar stages of the pre training, and are also due back at Warwick Farm, early to mid January.

Have a good week.
