SMART CRY replicated her last preparation, winning 2nd up yesterday, at Newcastle, over 1350m.  Well ridden, and racing just off the speed, she needed all her toughness to  get over the top of the leader, getting up in the last stride. At the 100m mark, she was running 3rd and looking like being placed, before unleashing the last 50m for a strong win, with the possibility of further wins over greater distances, a distinct possibility. Trainer, Jason Coyle has been patient with this filly who has now won 2 from 6 outings.

PICK UP THE TAB and REAL BAKER are down to trial next Tuesday, at Hawkesbury. Both have done well in the stables, after pleasing the pre trainer.

The IN THE CONGO filly and the BETTER THAN READY colt are currently spelling following their sales education, with both looking to be broken in middle of March, a process that takes between 4 - 6 weeks.
