Weekly Report 21st April 2025

TIME BANDIT showed a welcome return to form, at Kembla Grange, last Tuesday. In a smaller field than anticipated, a change of riding tactics saw Olivia Chambers jump from the outside but one gate, and go forward to sit outside the leader, who had drawn perfectly in barrier one. Had to work a touch in the run, and levelled up on terms on straightening, kicked clear but with the weight difference, giving away 2 kgs, just succumbing in the shadows of the post to run a gallant second, beaten a short half head. Will don silks again on Anzac Day.

BROADWAY FOLLIES turned around her below par performance, at Hawkesbury, with a strong performance at Wyong. Three back the fence on settling down in the run, she was forced wide on the corner, giving many lengths to the leaders as they ran for the judge. Eating up the ground down the outside, saw her just fail to catch the leader, who had an easy run in the trail all race.  

CUESTA and PICK UP THE TAB will trial at Randwick, on Thursday, with CUESTA having her second trial, over 1050m, and all going well, will head to the races early/mid May, whilst PICK UP THE TAB will have his first this preparation, over 740m.
