CUESTA is becoming synonymous for tough luck stories, following her run at Orange, last Tuesday. Drawing the outside in a field of 9, all was going to plan until she entered the straight, when a decision by her jockey to come inside, rather than go outside, to mount her run, saw her blocked for a run, have to shoulder out becoming unbalanced, before unleashing a charge to the line, beaten a nose. Has been a victim of decision making in the run for nearly all of her starts to date, with Aaron Bullock, at Newcastle, the only one who has got it right.

SMART CRY will have her first trial this preparation, at Warwick Farm on Friday, with RESCORE set to have her first gallop on the grass, following her arrival on Saturday at Bjorn’s stables.

REAL BAKER and BROADWAY FOLLIES will be next into their respective stables, with REAL BAKER having completed pre training, and BROADWAY FOLLIES her recuperation programme.

Have a top week
