Chaos reigned at Newcastle when CUESTA went to try and have some luck, and break her maiden. Has had no luck to date and Newcastle continued in that vein. On an extremely hot day, with horses not comfortable in the heat, and reacting to the hot wind blowing, saw 4 scratched late at the barriers, while the rest, save the favourite, were locked in the barriers for approx 10 minutes. Favourite won, after being loaded following the mayhem around her was played out. Will go back to Newcastle again this week.

SMART CRY returned earlier than expected to Warwick Farm last Thursday, having done particularly well, during her break and pre training phase.

The TIGER OF MALAY filly will have another good gallop this week, as Bjorn ramps up her fitness programme, to see how far she will progress in her first foray into stable life.

Have a top week.
