From The Stables 24 February 2025

RACING

TIME BANDIT was poorly fared when the barriers were drawn, at both Rosehill and Gosford, with Bjorn opting to go to the easier race, at Gosford. No favours in the run, being 3 and 4 wide the trip, over the 1100m. Given easy run to the line, after it was obvious she would not figure in the finish.

TRIALS

BROADWAY FOLLIES trialled very nicely, at Rosehill, over 900m, last Tuesday. Taken back from a wide gate, she was allowed to find her feet in the run. Balanced up and taken to the outside, coming into the straight, she was strong through the line. Will trial again next week.    

STABLE CHATTER

TORQUIN has had 4 weeks of her spell, is doing nicely, and will have another 2 – 3 weeks more, looking to commence pre training, Monday, 17th March.

REAL BAKER has settled into Warwick Farm very well. A big strong individual, he will be given a slow build over the next couple of weeks.  

GOLDANE is recovering well, and has now been 5 weeks into her enforced spell.

SMART CRY is coming to the end of her spell. Jason is looking at the 2nd week in March to kick her off again.   

PIERROPLANE will shortly commence pre training, with Bjorn pencilling him for an early March return to pre training.    

GONE TO VEGA had an educational trip to the barriers last week. She was slowly away, before quickly getting into stride. Has come to the end of her time in the stables this preparation, and will go to the paddock this week.  

CUESTA has settled into Warwick Farm, and is in good order. Bjorn is slowly building up her fitness levels.  

PICK UP THE TAB is into his second week of pre training, doing well with no issues at this stage.
