TORQUIN will have her first run tomorrow at Scone, since her transfer to our Country trainer, Geoff O’Brien. Thwarted by wet tracks since her move, and despite not an ideal track on offer, she will commence over 1250m and race on rain affected going, simply because she needs to go to the races. She has settled in well with Geoff, enjoying the less hectic environment, and we will be using the race, as a stepping stone to increasing distances, which, on pedigree, should be more to her liking.
SMART CRY will attempt to go back to back at Newcastle, on Tuesday, jumping up in trip, from the win over 1000m, at Kembla, to 1250m, with Jason Collett in the saddle. A rain affected track should be to her advantage, and we are looking for her to be competitive again.
We have had 2 shares become available, one each in our 2yo’s – HOME AFFAIRS filly and TIGER OF MALAY filly, owing to both parties not completing their financial obligations. Pedigrees attached, and if you would like to see full details, please email me.
Have a top week, and good luck to the owners in both TORQUIN and SMART CRY.
