RACING
SMART CRY was a late scratching last Thursday, after presenting lame as she came out of her box, to be loaded on the float to Kembla Grange. Will be nominated for Kembla again Friday 1st August, and Wyong 3rd August.
TORQUIN had a strong piece of work on Saturday, her first hit out, after an easy week to settle into her new surroundings.
STABLE CHATTER
BROADWAY FOLLIES continues on her recovery programme, currently undergoing box rest. Will be moved into a small yard, later in month/early next.
CUESTA will have approx 3 more weeks in the paddock, with Bjorn looking to bring her back into pre training, mid August.
REAL BAKER is doing everything right as Bjorn steps up his work, looking to ready him for a trial mid/late August.
PIERROPLANE is coming to the end of his spell and will commence pre training week beginning Monday, 28th July.
PICK UP THE TAB has had one week of pre training, with Bjorn looking to give him an extended time with the pre trainer, before coming back into Warwick Farm.
GOLDANE is into her second week of pre training, and will also have an extended time with the pre trainer, as she returns to work following her long spell.
HOME AFFAIRS/ORCHIDIA filly is midway through her pre training, with a planned first look at Warwick Farm, later this month/early next.
TIGER OF MALAY filly is due to commence pre training today. I spoke with the pre trainer this morning and he said “she’s a feisty filly, will have a couple of weeks with me, and then off to Bjorn”.
