SMART CRY was a late scratching last Thursday, as she appeared lame, after walking out of her box to be loaded onto the float to Kembla. An abscess seemed to be the issue and poulticed over the week end, with a positive outcome. Had an easy piece of work this morning and appears to be back on track. Will have a strong piece of work on Wednesday, and if comes through that well, trainer Jason Coyle will nominate her for Kembla 1st August, and Wyong 3rd August.
TORQUIN had her first good gallop on Saturday, recovered well, and is on track to have her first run for Geoff O’Brien, at Gunnedah, on Tuesday 5th August in a F & M 1300m Maiden.
The TIGER OF MALAY filly commences pre training this week, having developed well during her spell, with PIERROPLANE down to commence next week.
Have a top week.
